Experience vivid and varied impressions of Canada’s north with Arctic Dreams, a concert featuring music by composers from Manitoba and across Canada, as well as Inuit throat singers. From the natural landscapes of Yellowknife and Nunavut to the voices of Beluga whales from Cumberland Sound, this concert highlights the north’s frozen majesty as well as its hidden life and warmth. Composers Christos Hatzis, Derek Charke, Carmen Braden, Anthony Genge, Garth Hardy, and Jim Hiscott share their unique perspectives, providing a fascinating multi-faceted sonic landscape of northern Canada.
