GroundSwell’s 25th-anniversary concert season kicks off with an all-Prairie program featuring the Penderecki Quartet. The internationally-known Canadian string quartet has commissioned and premiered over one hundred new works and has also collaborated with many eminent ensembles. This special concert includes premieres of works by Alberta composer Laurie Radford, Saskachewan composer David McIntyre, and Manitoba composer Diana McIntosh, as well as a quartet by Canadian composer Michael Matthews. This will be a dynamic concert performed by an exceptional quartet.
