Thursday, March 15, 2018  ⎢ 8pm Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall Guest Artistic Director: Megumi Masaki This year’s GroundSwell guest curator is dynamic new music pianist Megumi Masaki. She has concocted a program of virtuosic delights featuring live electronics, video, flute, and cello. Compositions by Keith Hamel, Kotoka Suzuki, Patrick Carrabré, and Randolph Peters push the limits of collaboration in piano performance. Brandon-based Megumi specializes in exploring how sound, image, text and movement can be integrated in multimedia works. Together with live-electronics and computer music specialist Keith Hamel, her work promises to expand and re-conceptualize the concert experience.
