Eckhard-Gramatté Hall, U of  W

We all know Diana McIntosh as an adventurous composer and performer. Her intrepid spirit also embraces the rugged landscape as an avid hiker and mountain climber, spending time exploring the road-less-travelled in all corners of our beautiful homeland.

Made in Canada explores and celebrates this country’s wonderful and diverse features: its lands, peoples, cultures, prairies, lakes, rivers, wildlife and northern wilds.  Hear rugged Canadian music performed by Gwen Beamish, piano; Martha Durkin, flute; Vincent Ellin, bassoon; Robin MacMillan, English horn; Diana McIntosh, spoken text; Sean Taubner, cello.  Music by Robert Aitken, Jim Hiscott, Veronika Krausas, Diana McIntosh, Kenneth Nichols, and a world premiere by Scott Jodoin.

BONUS! At 7:00PM on the same evening, GroundSwell will be conducting a free Sound Walk.  This is the inaugural event in our new dis/Organized SoundSeries.  Check out the link for some background.
