Music for a lost planet 2014-2015

Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall
University of Winnipeg, 515 Portage Ave.
Our 24th concert season ends on a high note with the mysterious soundscape of low flutes. Australia-based flautist Peter Sheridan performs an unusual concert of works from all over the world composed for an array of “low flutes” (from alto flute to the extremely rare subcontrabass flute). Known for his virtuosic command of these instruments, Sheridan will perform both as a soloist and in duet with some of Winnipeg’s finest – including a special premiere for bass flute and piano interior by Diana McIntosh.
